Fish Terutup Recipe

Ingredients :
4 tablespoons

Grind ingredients to paste:

2 stalks
1.5 cm
margarine
cincaru, approximately 300 gm
tamarind juice
sugar to taste

dried chilies
shallots
pips garlic
shrimp paste
lemon grass
blue ginger (lengkuas)
Method :
  1. Clean fish.
  2. To remove fishy smell, season with a little tamarind juice and salt.
  3. Heat margarine.
  4. Fry paste ingredient over low heat until fragrant.
  5. Add fish, tamarind juice and sugar.
  6. Simmer for 10-15 minutes until fish is cooked.
  7. Dish up and serve.
Serves 3-4
