Spicy Assam Fish Recipe

Ingredients :
800g
1 teaspoon
1 litre

mackerel
lemon and pepper seasoning
water
tamarind pulp (combine and extract juice)

dried chilies, soaked
stalk lemon grass, sliced
shallots
cloves garlic
shrimp paste
turmeric
anchovy stock (optional)
sugar
salt
stalk ginger flower, cut into strips
some mint leaves
Method :
  1. Marinate fish with lemon & pepper seasoning and set aside.
  2. Place tamarind juice, grinded ingredients and turmeric into a pot and cook over medium fore for 20 minutes.
  3. Season with salt and sugar.
  4. Add fish and boil until fish is cooked.
  5. Sprinkle sliced ginger flower over fish and turn off fire.
  6. Garnish fish with mint leaves
Serves 6
